Phaedra Ramsdill is a Patent Attorney who is excited to work with passionate innovators and assist them with building a solid foundation to pursue their business goals. She received a B.S. and M.S. in Engineering Mechanics, with a focus in Biomechanics, from the Michigan State University. Phaedra received her J.D. from Lewis & Clark Law School.
During her engineering career, Phaedra worked in a variety of industries including nuclear power plant operations and modeling software. Phaedra’s healthcare interests also led her to conduct research in gait analysis laboratories at Michigan State University and the Helmholtz Institute for Biomedical Engineering in Germany. She has worked with clinical and corporate clients to promote healthy office environments and improve ambulation for children with cerebral palsy.
Prior to returning to private practice, Phaedra managed patent portfolio activities by outside counsel for a university technology transfer office. She enjoyed the breadth of work, ranging from furthering Plant Breeder’s Rights applications to corporate licensing of academic innovations.
Based near Portland, Oregon, Phaedra is an active member in the Oregon State Bar and is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Although her practice has focused on obtaining patents for medical and other mechanical devices, she has experience with trademarks, copyrights, and licensing as well.
