Reborn “RB” Van is a Registered Patent Agent (California Bar License Pending) with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. RB received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from U.C. Irvine, M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from California State University Long Beach, M.S. in Electrical Engineering from UCLA, and his is J.D. from Seattle University School of law. RB’s patent practice covers a wide range of technology in the mechanical, software, and electrical arts.
Prior to joining the firm, RB worked as a patent agent at an international law firm located in San Francisco, CA. In addition, Mr. Van has also worked as a patent agent at boutique patent law firms in Aliso Viejo, CA and Seattle, WA. RB has experience drafting and prosecuting patent applications in the mechanical, software, and electrical arts. He also has experience supporting clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies to solo inventors.
Prior to his legal profession, RB worked as a Mechanical Engineer at the Boeing Company for more than seven years. He has a strong background in aerospace structural analysis, fatigue analysis, damage tolerance analysis, and aircraft metallic and composite materials. He has been involved in various commercial aircraft programs which include the 787-8 Dreamliner, 747-8 Wide-body jet airliner, and 777 BCF (Boeing Converted Freighter).
In his spare time, RB enjoys working out at various strength and conditioning gyms, mentoring socio-economic disadvantaged students, volunteering, and giving back to the community.
